They were called semaphores. Standard up until mid 50s depending on where you bought car.

Electrical systems seem to be a weak spot. I have to clean some corrosion on the primary power and headlight circuit wires and connectors over the years.

Well the Transporter T6 is alive and well in EU, but not here.
You can get a cool air cooled Bus brought up from Brazil, but they last made these in DEC 2013. You can import these if you jump through hoops.

This was great in the 1980s as there were people all around NA who know how to work on these cars. In 2016, no. You need to be proficient to the point of being able to do valve adjustments, change plugs, all igntiion parts, and fix brakes, wheel bearings, axle shafts all by yourself as there are no ...

Reviewing records - I had my airbase sensors inspected on recall in 2012 - now they have failed. I wonder if I can go back and claim warranty on these now? Will advise.

Its tricky to get those bayonets into the right locking place - if you don't feel tension increasing on them as you tighten them, you don't have it right.
