Hey yall!

As a lifelong Volvo owner, I was sad to part with my last Volvo. It was time.....

The XC-90 T6 was replaced with a new VW Touareg TDI Lux. Here are my thoughts from the last 18 months:

• I miss the Volvo ride and seat comfort. The VW seats are not good.
  Also miss the split tailgate and cargo area shape to accommodate large items
  After 16,000 miles, I have had no issues with the Touareg. Everything works, nothing broke, no rattles, perfect!
  The 3.0L TDI engine and transmission are excellent. I love the torque particularly pulling my boat

I hope VW do not castrate the TDI to comply with emissions: The SCR system should keep NOx down to compliant levels without messing with engine tuning. Volvo detuned my XC-90 after 2 failed transmissions (the GM tranny could not take the T6 torque) rendering the vehicle useless for it's intended purpose...

I have always had my eye on one these in diesel for SWMBO and a boat tow beast. Perfect combination.
