Ok this is a topic starter & not a question. since I'm the only one here there's nobody to ask yet.
This is a $3 solution to overheating your engine: put a piezoelectric beeper on your oil warning light. I use them but I don't sell them.
($3 & 15 minutes vs $1200 rebuild and 2 weeks ... hmm, tough call)
