1962 - Beetle - baby blue (my mother's)
1979 - Golf GTI - silver
2004 - Touareg V8 - grey
2006 - Golf GTI - white
2007 - Golf GTI - Fahrenheit edition
All are gone now and ...missed! Never had any major issue with any of them - observed a progressive degradation of the build quality as the vehicles were produced, but none of them left me stranded at any time.
Yes, diesel-gate is an issue but one should not let the errors of a few and the media alter one's appreciation for what is one of the great automotive manufacturer . they will fix it and fix it right - diesels will eventually become outlawed anyway, as the world opens its eyes and starts caring about our environment.
