Engine cut out (shut off) while at highway speed (or idling) and came right back on after 2-3 seconds with no issues. It seemed to happen when the tank was below 1/4 and never happened above that.

Problem started after replaced fuel pump .... living with problem for over 2 years.

Jetta GLS WAGON 4-DR
2.0L L4 SOHC 20V

Fixed problem after replacing the fuel pump that went out. Experienced no engine cut off after a month of driving including fuel levels below 1/4 full tank.
