Anytime a major company makes an announcement like this, the public will speculate. However, a video sourced by unknown parties was discovered and shared at the Truth About Cars.

The video shows a full TFT driver display in what looks like a Volkswagen Golf. This display has never been available on the model platform. Given that fact, and the evidence in the video, speculation is high on whether this is Volkswagen’s plan. An updated TFT display, an infotainment unit, and a center console-based wireless charging mat are shown in the video.
